Update to my earlier post, + thanks Roger for your welcome.
I saw a pair of TCAs this afternoon with the 603 casting marks on them, they were brand new and supplied in Powermax boxes.
This was a chance to compare the quality of the 603's against the RD ones that arrived from the UK yesterday. Steve had paid around $130 for the pair recently at his local Autopro store. Like Roger's, they also had contact adhesive holding the rollbar bush in place, and the pivot bush holes were not fully machined with casting marks inside the tapered holes where the inner (pivot) bushes fit. The 603's machined finish was also very poor.
In summary, there is no real comparison - the RD ones are fully machined wherever the rubbers make contact with the TCAs and the 603s are of visibly inferior quality. Considering the better units can be had for less money, the choice is a no-brainer.
SMCKA Performance in Sydney has the RD ones in stock for $110 pair + post if you don't want to buy direct from the UK.
I imported a set of these Q&H ones for roughly $150 (have to be sent seperately to reduce total weight), which is a similar price to the cheap crap sold here in Oz. I haven't used them yet, but the quality of the ball joint feels great, although may not be good enough for a race car (unless Mark Cogan knows any better)?
OK - Its time to ask a dumb question and getting shot for Stupidity.
Why are adjustable spherical jointed TCA's sold for competition use only?
Can you achieve the same outcome (as adjustable TCA's) by putting standard (or OEM copies) TCA's on the car and running the 'adjustment' on the strut top mount?
Does anyone know where/if you can get camber pins - my car has them on but the thread is dodgy & I'd like to replace them. I looked into this during the rebuild and came across some dead ends. Looks like I'll have to take the pins out & manufacture something or just drop a big bolt back in and lock it down somehow.
Apologies of some of this is off topic
There are people who make things happen, people who watch what happened and those who have no idea what happened - which one are you?
check out Roger Millers car pages, he has camber pins on the lower inner mount for the TCA, problem is it does not offer enough camber change for australian conditions (I say that as the poms use significantly less camber, Dont know why as nobody has compared Oz and UK cars side by side on the track) Camber pins work best mid span between upper and lower pickup points it would seem. Strut tops may provide enough camber change but the advantage of a wider front track is not available which the adjustables provide. From memory my MK1 is circa 25mm wider per side as a result of adjustable arms. 10mm wider per side due top bearing relocation inthe hub and 9mm wider per side due to wheel offset and 4mm per side using spacers. just to get the wheel to fill the bubble arch which is 50mm wider per side. and of course the inner pivot point is 30 mm further out to close the standard gap between wheel and arch. I also run a oz style 6 degrees neg.
One of the main reasons that not a lot Competitors on this forum use them is because they are running under Improved Production rules and are not allowed to use adjustable TCA's. We have to gain our Camber by other methods, eg, adjustable tops, moving the lower inners by the maximum allowable amount and bending struts.

A bloke here in the US has another 4 NOS right hand side track control arms, 3 are definitely of TRW origin (3038E-3080) the other you may need to ask for a photo or part number. They are US$89.00 + postage to Australia (he only charges actual postage).
I've attached a photo of two of the items, they don't look pristine but they are probably 30+ years old and are NOS.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll send through contact details.
