Will a bilstein P36-0110 or the gravel shock fit into a Oz 2l strut?

Stu,
I'm using Commodore shocks, but they are not a direct fitment, a fair amount of butchery to make them work. I just wish this internet thing was so popular when I went through the trouble of making them fit!

Thanks Tanz what model did you use and how much cutting and shutting did you have to do because i am looking at a Series 2 RX7 Bilstien and looks like ill need to make a spacer up to make up the length and weld the gland nut to the top.

VB through to VP all take the same insert from memory. I took the Escort strut and cut it off just above (say 50mm) the stub axle (the insert steps down about 100mm from the end, then swaged up the commodore tube and slipped it over the Escort unit, then welded the two together, I cut off the spring platform and have adjustable threaded tube. It's basically a Commodore strut with the Escort stub axle on the bottom. I'll try and get a photo or two, last week they were out of the car so it would have been easier then.
I did look at the RX7 inserts, but they have limited travel for what I do. The Commodore setup has similar to the Escort, just a little longer which binds up a bit on full droop.
