Mk 1 setup
Posted: Fri Dec 04, 2009 8:36 amHello all. I'm after some help with the suspension setup of my mk 1. At the moment its just standard and I have a strut that I don't what it's from lying around, it's got bolt on steering arms though.
So far I have sorted a GRP4 world cup cross member, adj TCA's, quick rack and compression struts. I will be going with bubble arches and wide wheels, my question is whats the go with struts and dampers? I would like to go with double adjustable koni's due to there true double adjustability, (not like GAZ where they are not) as I will probabley have more unsprung weight than most due to big wheels and brakes. Are Capri struts the go? If so where can I get some? How do I fit the damper to the strut? what other options do I have? The car is mostly a street car but will be thrashed when ever and where ever possable.
