Hi All.

Can anyone supply me the outside dimentions of the outer bearing shell on a set of front wheel bearings to suit a Mk2 Escort please?

Reason being I'm considering machining a set of custom hubs and I want to confirm the diameters for the inner and outer bearing "seats" in the hub.

So, if someone has a pair of vernier and could let me know ASAP that would be great.

Paul,

inner bearing: inside dia: 27,00 mm, outside dia: 50,30 mm.
Outer bearing: inside: 17,52 mm, outside: 39,86 mm.

Measured with a vernier exact to 0,02 mm.

These are normal Mk2 bearings that I measured, RS-items are bigger.

Paul, i have some shells, i will take them to work in the morning and
measure them with a mic

You can work out your interference from there
