hi all,
just curious how beneficial these quick racks are in a street escort? i'm not entirely sure what they achieve, but my interpretation is a semi-power steering sort of feel?
also, i see these alloy rack mounts being sold on ebay, are they any good? or is it better to use the standard mounts with poly bushes?
thanks.

hi groulder,
I don't know too much about the alloy rack mounts, but I'm planning on installing a quick rack on my street car. The steering's heavier, but I hear they last longer, and of course there's the obvious bonus of less turns lock to lock.
Just depends really on what you want out of your streeter

[quote="jpayne"]as the name suggests its a quicker way of adjustingt he angle of the front wheels relative to the rear wheels,
its all about - driver input to suit the conditions .
a typical scenario is - long fast corners ,(nice fine steering adjustments" use a std ratio rack
tight &twisty stuff - use (hi ratio- kwik rack { i know this is broad terminoligy )
also depending on driver / slash/ horsepower & style
but the same basic rules apply!
another issue not discussed yet ? is -- steering wheel size !
on escorts .
i will stick my neck out & say --a big rs type steering wheel with a kwik rack
is better than a small momo type steering wheel with a std rack !
(variable ratio maybe ??? the next logical step)
