RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

I have another steering rack to fit to the RS but I've been advised to replace the steering rack rubber bushes with Nolathane ones. Can someone please tell me where to get these from in Adelaide?

If the rack ends fall from horizontal, by them selves, it is needing adjustment.

I am assuming u mean the rack mounts......

anyhow

red ones are available from sprints etc, u will have to order them. I recon.
These will be fine HERE.

Most other bushes I would get blue ones.

U can see split in red ones.

The blue ones are on second set of arms and are fine.

Mark is fitting the rack for me, he suggested I get some decent bushes but neither of us had a clue where to go. Car Torque are just around the corner from work, I'll give them a go.

I did mean the rack mounts. Are they the only ones that would need to be improved? I was thinking of getting all the bushes replaced at either end of the rack (ball joints I think).

Oh, & from memory one end falls from horizontal.... I assume they're adjustable?

"Each end was tightened until each track rod would just support it's own weight and then locked off with the lock nuts. I then drilled a new hole and fitted a new roll pin. The gaiters were re-fitted and the rack filled with oil"

O..... and are the rubber bellows holed? if so u need new ones. Rack is lubed with 90 weight oil, so needs to hold this.
