RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

Ok..For my Escy I have planned some basic stuff I would like done eventually and I have some questions:

1. I would love some old-skool race seats...what seats should I look for, like would a set of old buckets from another brand fit? Would the transplant simply be putting the runners onto the new seats? RS2000 seats a good choice?

2. Re-trim...Costs? Places in Brisbane area to talk to?

3. Door cards...re-trim or replace? I need black ones for a 4-door Mk2 Escy...

I think thats about it...any help would be appreciated....

I think the best would be to modify ur existing seats to look like the RS seats. That way u dont need to modify the rails and u dont need to go through the hassle of an engineers certificate. I am doing that and it will cost me 890 to do front however i am in Sydney. A good trimmer will weld add on pieces to make them bucket like the RS.

I'm sure it would be cheaper but not by too much maybe a couple of hundred. Never really asked him.I have seen his work and he does really good stuff. He also undercuts anyone else i have seen especially those tosers who reckon they make show car interiors. He is in Sydney so it might be difficult for you.

If you wanna save a bit of money why not make your own door cards out of 3 mm mdf or even perspex, its very simple. I have seen each card going for about 40 - 50 bucks
