Hello again guys

Sorry to bother you all with what would be considered very mundane and boring topics, but down here in Busselton there isn't many (if any) people I can turn to for escort solutions

Finally after many many dramas I was able to get window seals for the little red rocket (mk1). front 1/4's done and fit nicely.

rear 1/4's seem to be more of an issue. does anyone know if they come in different sizes? or have some tips for fitting. Im having no joy and to me it doesn't even look like it would fit. not quite at the point of screaming and running down the road with my arms flailing everywhere….but im not far from it!!

as usual your input is greatly appreciated, and if anyone is down Busso way Im happy to supply a few beers for your thoughts

thanks again

Mark

what method are you using fro trying to fit them.
the best way I find is to run an electrical extension lead around the inside edge of the rubber seal, crossing them over bottom middle of the windscreen. get inside the car with ahelper outside, offer the window up to the apperture.
From inside pull the lead slowly inwards, this drags the rubber inwards use your hands to seat on the body opening. the tight rear radius is the hardest part. might pay to use some lubricant
Good luck.

Ditto to the above - fit the seal to the glass. Run a 3mm electric wire inside the lip.

For the 1/4 glass I always fit the tight corner into the car first then use a helper to press the glass while extracting the cord and working the inner lip from inside the car until it pop's into place.
