MK2 steering wheel

Do the MK2 RS and rally pack steering wheels have the same centre?
In the picture below does this type of centre look like this from new or were the letters and or surrounding coloured?

That looks to be a Mk1 centre. Both my Mk2 RS wheels have the pressed alloy oval ford logo in blue/silver

I found some photos in my Escort books with the same Escort script on Mk2s so I thnk at some point or maybe different specs it went from script to blue oval.
I have since had the wheel restored by a guy whose details I'll dig out to as new condition. Looks great.
