I've had trouble the last couple of events where I've needed to adjust up the clutch cable. On disassembly I noted a crack in the clutch fork, can anyone tell me if the pivot/ throwout bearing mount/cable should be in-line? Any help appreciated as I need to reassemble tomorrow

you need to seam weld a plate on the back of the fork then drill a hole for the cable at the end
they start to bend then eventualy crack & break
pretty common problem

Thanks Steve, I'd read about the bending and cracking before, I guess I've been lucky for the past 12 years of competition.
But what I need to know, is are all the essential points in-line to start with? I need to put this thing back together tomorrow (all braced up) if I'm gonna make it to Gallangowan 3rd December.
Cheers Tanz.

seam weld a pce of sheet metal from about near the throw out brng(centre) right out to the tip where the cable is , then drill a hole
in the plate big enough to allow the cable to go thru
dont worry about from the centre back to the bellhousing side
1 or 2 mm sheet metal should be ok for thickness
