stephen, i havn't called yet. been very busy at work and just bought a house , so very hectic for me latly.
I do beleive i have the entire thing sorted out though. the 2.3L mustang engine used a T5 from the factory. i have in the past bolted up a 4 speed escort housing to the 2.3L block when doing a conversion into a friends MK1 a few years back. So as far as i can tell i should be able to use the mustang bellhousing and the T5 i have and bolt it all up with out to much drama.
Not sure yet what release system the mustang uses, but cable or hydraulic it won't be to hard to make it work.
then it just custom tailshaft to go from the T5 to capri V6 diff i have, or hilux diff if the capri one is on its last legs (havn't had time to check it out yet)
and the best bit is when the Zetec is built it will be a relativly simple swap over.
I know it a bit of stuffing around but a close ration T5 should be pretty much unbreakable
