Roger,
This is my trailer, it was made in Adelaide by HyTek. best towing trailer I have had.I have added a toolbox at the front that holds a jack, tie down oil etc. Also added the jerry can holders (better than having fuel in the car) and moved the spare wheel. It is a small trailer as it was designed to tow a Suzuki Swift behind a motorhome. Picked it up for $1000 as the guy sold his motorhome in melbourne (he was from WA) and was left with the trailer. It loads up easily but needs extensions on the ramps for low cars. If I need a winch I have a cheap electric boat winch I rig up.
How do you find the single axle trailer? I have never been comfortable with them and have prefered tandems from a stability safety point of view.

Bruce,
That's a neat looking trailer. Do you have the dimensions?
Also what does it weigh?

Nev.
I'll get measurments and weight next time I pick up the trailer. I store it at a mates place just out of Melbourne. It fits an Escort nicely, good thing about having an Escort size trailer is you don't get people borrowing it all the time as it can't fit larger cars!
The car on the back is Jasons new toy I picked up for him, he told me he had picked up the head, thanks.

Bruce,
Does yours have a full floor?
What are people's view on that. I had thought that it would save weight to just have the wheel runners either side and leave the centre open to the ground. However talking to another of the Grp C guy's he said that you get a lot of road grime coming up and it makes keeping the underside car clean a real task. He had it open but filled it in after only a short time.

The floorless becomes your gearbox removal pit. A board can be put over it, when not in use.
Bruce,
u have tooo much weight over the ball.
My Trailer tows fine, when loaded properly.
Mate did a 600 km round trip with a a boat and trailer loaded on mine recently
Gees ..........u guys love dragging around all this extra weight.
My nearly ideal trailer.
But too many wheels.

Unit with pump up shocks make it a breeze to load car.
Downside is not being able to open doors.......but not many race cars will be able to , so just take car off trailer !

Nev,
There is no floor in the trailer, but ramps slide into the space and enclose the rear section of the floor. Put a sheet of marine ply across if you are worried.
Roger,
Have to disagree tows great and have comments from others who have used it that it is a very well balanced trailer. What I don't like about a single axle trailer is the problems if you have a blow out or loose a wheel. I know more than one person that has lost a wheel on a trailer, I have had a puncture that went down pretty quick on my old tandem and I was still able to control it (at 100 km/h).

Nev,
I think u should seriously consider a fully enclosed trailer, as with interstate trips u will need to "park up" the unit and an open trailer is just asking for things to go missing.
