Lifeline Zero 2000 Testing

My plumbed-in system is now 3 years old and I think needs to be serviced and hydro tested. Does anybody have the name of a South Australian place that can do this as I refuse to spend nearly $500 getting it done in Qld by Racer Industries!!!

My dry powder extinguishers are 3 years old too. Do they need any special servicing or will a visual inspection by the scrutineers be all that's needed? I don't believe a pressure test is needed until 5 years old?

CAMS manual Schedule H "Each AS1841 standard fire extinguisher shall be serviced every three years. If the extinguisher is compliant with another acceptable standard, it shall be serviced every two years."

So I'm guessing your dry power units need testing too. I tend to just buy new in date units as it's cheaper than testing, just ensure you get a 2015 stamped bottle and not some old stock 2014/13 bottle.

pretty sure we use Wormald here at work on our fire supression systems for dump trucks.
fire extinguishers i think we use adelaide hills firewatch.

We don't have the authority to inspect extinguishers these days but the good old boys tell me we did it once upon a time.

I will purchase new handhelds as I have found NLF 11/11 stamped on the 2 I have (assume that is a manufacturing date) so they are out of date.

The Lifeline Zero 2000 homologation says that it needs to be serviced by the manufacturer or their agent (Racer Industries, Qld) only. $540 to get it done by Racer Industries, ~$100 from a general extinguisher company or I could buy a new SPA unit for $600 then pay $120 to their SA agent each 2 years. SPA will be cheaper in the long run.

I cannot really see how a scrutineer would know if the Lifeline was serviced by a non-agent but probably best not to take the risk?
