The first time he had it was at Surfers and it was smashing everybody until it blew a turbo....a bit to much boost I think!!!

Great Pics Gary so you have been giving the box browny a good run for years some fantastic shots there at any time did you happen to get any shots of the Globe escort as it did alot of mettings in the late 70s and 80s as sporty

Thanks John. I think those shots at Surfers were taken with my first SLR, a Russian "Zenit" that my dad gave me for my 16th birthday. Even though I lived in Sydney until I was 19, I never went to Oran or Amaroo whilst I lived there!!! I believe that those shots were taken at my 2nd ever race meeting (1st was at Lakeside) I never went to any motorsport until I moved to Brissy 1981 and met up with all of the Escort guys.
I think I might do some more scanning, no point in just leaving them to fade in the albums!!
