RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

I have remounted my alternator using a bushed RS2000 style bracket and a nylon adjuster. The alternator is now not earthed and does not charge the battery.

A simple solution is to use a wire between the casing and the chassis/engine. What size wire would that need to be? I guess at least as big as the charging wire?

Are they any other solutions?

I just trimmed down an old battery wire....probably over sized but was just lying around

Wire size depends on amps.

Wire from block to alternator case is ok.

Could also use braided strap, but nothing to be gained.

Went to the local hills auto bloke and bought a short length of battery cable. I asked him if that was overkill but he was of the opinion that it was the way to go. Anyway, job jobbed.
