With twin DCOE's going on my pinto in MK1 escort, the coil needs relocating. I was wanting to put back on drivers side but the longest coil lead bosch make it 66cm. Is this for a good reason?
Only other place is under the battery tray or move battery to boot which I'm not wanting to do

A pinto Escort has the coil mounted to the side of the battery tray as standard. The longer you make the coil lead the more resistance and the less the spark will be
You're better off moving the battery tray anyway so you can fit a decent air filter

Thanks Danny. After reading your comments I ended up putting a bracket on the side of battery tray so the coil sits between rad support and distributor
I have plenty of air filter clearance using 63mm deep K&N style filters
Thanks again
