Was just browsing Ebay when I came across these axles for sale.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Escort- ... 1#shpCntIdFrom my limited experience the axle on the left looks to have factory pre 73 anti tramp brackets fitted.
So is this a twincam axle?

The one on the left could well be but you can buy the original shape brackets and the centre looks like a MK2.
You really need to see how they are welded on to confirm

Mk1 capri also has the radius rod brackets and nine inch drums and is a little wider in track. Thats probably what this is.

Only the V6's had the Atlas axle which was a rear loader. All the 1600's were the same basic English axle as the Escort so yes that diff could be a Capri one.

The wider Capri version of the 'english' axle is good for arched cars. Last time I saw it, the flat fronted forest arched german mk2 RS2000 had one fitted. Filled the rear arches nicely with superlites.
