This guy was advertising parts from a MK1 V6 Capri.
I got the front struts and he promises me this is at atlas - can anyone confirm?

With those ears I would sat it is out of a TC or later Cortina.

We had a V6 Capri many years ago and there's nothing in that pic ringing any loud bells, my guess would be Cortina. I think the capri had the radius arm mountings on the axle housings, not the diff housing, the angles on the arms weren't as savage.
But then again there's been many

since then so I could be wrong...
Also I think there was a flange connection for the tailshaft, not the u-bolt uni connector.

This is what my Atlas looks like.

V6 Capris didn't have arms going from the " pigs head" to the body so didn't have the ears.

I thought it was solved, they're a big heavy hunk of a crap with limited ratio's hassles changing ratio's quickly and limited options

Seeing hte Poms like them so much they probably have a penchant for corrosion so you probably couldn't use one as a boat anchor on the coast as it would probably corrode quite quickly and not be anchoring much

Just cause you got them for 50 quid doesn't change the fact that it's a boat anchor

Boat anchor or not, the reason they are used in the UK is because they are easy to find cheap, there is tons of stuff available off the shelf for bargain prices, and they are homologated for everything, why on earth would the poms make life difficult by getting a difficult to obtain diff, that does not fit the wheels or tailshaft, and may well be turned away by the scrutineers?
And for the record, in order to fit my 50 quid LSD equipped diff, all I had to do was weld the leaf spring saddles and link brackets on, bolt it up, bleed the brakes, and fit my existing ford wheels to my new diff, no changing tailshafts, no changing stud patterns, nothing.
So I had a LSD equipped diff, that handles 380bhp modified and fitted for just over 60 quid including brackets, in about 1 hour.
That is why for most people the atlas is a no brainer over something else
