Hi All,
Just wondering how and what is required to remove the booster. Not worried about the 2 rear nuts (13mm) but the lower one on the inner firewall has me stumped? Looks to be some sort of clip?? Is there a nut on inner guard??? Any help appreciated...
CheeRS, Michael.

From memory, it is a captive nut in the booster tower with a bolt to be removed from behind the strut.

As Scott has said its a captive nut that sits loose in a cage on the booster bracket with the bolt coming from the inner guard side. The nut is not welded so can turn within the confines of the cage so best to spray it with WD40 first as I've had them where they are so tight they spread the cage then just spin inside it.

Thanks Gents,
Info was spot on, just two 13mm nuts on inner guard, dropped the split pin and lines and out she come... simple. Well simple enough once i got the back inside nut off, F@#N A%&HOLE of a spot. Anyway, now for a bit of cut and polish on the firewall while it's out :-)

Thanks chaps - I was planning to take mine off next weekend, so after reading this I hit those nuts hard with the WD40 today!

Just to clarify, on my car, the bolt was captive and the nut was on the inner guard so no issue getting it undone... bit easier on the pedal now

Damn that nut on the firewall next to the guard is a bitch of thing to get out. How the hell did Ford even get them on? Even with a modern, flex-head ratcheting wrench, I must have struggled for an hour. Definitely not looking forward to putting it back on!

Ah yes, that one is a bitch but there is a trick.
You need a really long extension, or several to make a long rod with the socket on the end. Two 12" ones together work well. Then you put that up along the inner guard and there is enough room to get it in there with the socket. Then just put your rachet on the other end and off it comes nice and easy
