Hey. I'm after someone to make some R31 Skyline pads for the rear brakes in the Ferodo DS3000 or DS2500 compound. Does anyone know a good mob for this?
Cheers

Anyone have experience with the DS2500? Because my car only occasionally goes on the track I've found the DS3000 squealed too much on the road with the Capri vented setup. I'd assume it would be the same with the new AP setup I'll be running. I'm considering going to DS2500. Anyone have experience with these? Other recommendations for car/track day use?

Hi mate,
I got a set of A1RM's for my R31's from QFM at around $100 from this mob. (Part # DB1106)
Cheers
Matt

Cheers. I'm probably going to run Ferodo DS2500 on the front with the AP 4 pots and EBC Red Stuff on the R31 calipers on the rear for now. I can get the Redstuff for the R31 calipers for about $60 from the UK.
Interestingly on the EBC page they stated two class winners of the Targa Tasmania were running almost road pads rather than outright race pads, eg Bluestuff.
"Good news from the recent Targa Tasmania for EBC Brakes! Geoff Thomas owner of local distributor Monaco Performance was 1st In class driving a Fiat 124 Coupe running EBC Greenstuff front and EBC Ultimax rear using Commodore Twin pot callipers and MR2 Rotors.
Geoff’s customer Cary Fraser driving a R34 GTT Skyline was also 1st in class running EBC Redstuff on the fronts and EBC Greenstuff on the rears. Both swear by the product and would not use any other performance brake pads!!!"
I can only assume that these pads were used because Targa events don't get and maintain temperatures up long enough that would be necessary for race pads. Hence the Greenstuff and Ultimax pads being used. Sounds right... Right?

I didn't think EBC made a pad for the R31 rears?

They don't look like r31 rear pads at all. R31 rear pads are basically the same as vr-vs rear pads in shape not sure if the thickness is the same

Have a look at the bendix site as you can print out a 1:1 scale drawing of one .

Pretty sure I went down this path too and this is why I went with the QFM pads.

The Nissan R31 / pintara callipers we use where an Australian made car. the commodore rear callipers have the same mounting bolt dimensions and are basically the same other than it does not have the internal handbrake and the pad does not come with the little bump on the back that the piston locates on but you could put weld as a replacement. As for pad I was recommended TRW/ Lucas brake pads by my father in-law that rally’s a mk2 escort with a BDG with twin R31 callipers in the rear. Track racing may need different
