HI All

Just wondering if anyone has achieved much in rolling out their standard guards?

If so , Is there a good panel shop or person here in Brisbane that could roll some guards out for a MK 1...?

Yes guards are rolled on my Mk1 and then the rubber only just fits. As to if you need to roll your guards that is a matter of the rim offset and tire that you are using. If they current fit without rubbing then there is no point to rolling the lip, if they are currently touching the lip then rolling them is a good thing. Main issue is that if the lip of the guard is grabbed on the front of the tire then it tares the lip down and is considered damage to the guard. If it grabs the rear of the tire it is almost free panel shop labour but does cut up the tire side wall.

Not in Brisbane so cannot help you with a panel shop, but there are dedicate rolling tools available on the market that I haven't used but might be worth researching:
