Guys,
Looking for a TIG welder for car repairs etc. Have a good mig welder but want to try TIG.
Also dont want to spend a fortune, thinking up to 600.
Seen some 3 in 1 units on ebay?
Any recommendations or advice.
Justin

I've had a cheap eBay tig welder for about 3 years now. 160 amp high frequency start which is good for when you are learning or in those difficult areas. No high frequency for welding aluminium though. But for $360 it has been a well worth it. used is on everything from .5mm to 10mm.

Thanks mate the local BOC has some good deals on new tech TIG welders which places then only 200-300 more expensive than the ebay units and come with 2 year warranty and parts availability. probably worth the extra dosh...and will do aluminium.
Cheers
