RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

I am screwing together an RS at the moment, the front was off it when I picked it and up and as usual there are plenty of bits missing.

Can anyone tell me if the bushes that go along the top of the radiator support panel , that the top edge of the nosecone screws into are available or if anything else works?

From another RS I also have these are a rectangular shaped clip / bush that pushes into the rectangular slots in the rad support panel. The top edge of the nose cone then screws into these and they open out and lock from having the screw run through them.

I am guessing I could get away with speed clips and self tappers but wanted to know if there are any other options.

I have a bag of the rectangular clips,but they are packed away in a box somewhaere as we are in the process of moving. They are XD Falcon grille clips from memory. Should be able to source them from rare Spares or one of the clip/screw suppliers . Talk really nicely to your local panel shop and get them to order them in for you.
You should also be able to source the correct hex headed screws as well/

Thanks Inb for the heads up on the clips, I will try my local Rare Spares guy. Wosrt case scenario I think I can get away with speed clips.

The clips that hold the glove box up into the dash will work.

PS: Those steel rims are still here if you are ever down this way.

Have you considered using Zip Ties - I think your over engineering it with speed clips and self tappers
