Got my MKII RS 2dr stripped to a shell on a rotiserie ready for a ground up resto...

Questions i had, which i cant really find the answer to is:-

What other worth while upgrades to the chassis / suspension... eg Panhard rod , chassis strengthening??

Mainly road going vehicle, will use Zetec engine / T9 5spd g/box, coil over front end etc..

Just want to update it as much as i can to improve the vehicle..

Let me know your thoughts.. hope it makes sense :)

My car is in the same boat as yours. It's a shell on a dolly that's firstly having the rust done and is getting some strengthening along the way. I'm doing most of the stuff listed in the old Rally Prep book (forest arches, seam welding, gusseting etc) but i'm aiming to have the car run as a Classic Rally car in a few years time and hoping that the strengthening makes the shell last a bit longer.

thanks for the feed back.. Is there somewhere on the net where i can find that info about the rally prep??

I really just want to improve the cars chassis / suspension to a point which does not involve cutting the car up (eg 4-link etc)

Didnt know if there are certain weaknesses in the chassis that should be looked at / improved upon while apart..

Basically wanting to modernise the RS
