Steve the Duratec is a little lacking in the cylinder head and you can't rev the bottom ends as hard

Of course there is a huge weight advantage with the alloy block compared to the Pinto block.
but this has all been thrashed out in other threads elsewhere.

The fact is one of our members saw fit to put a Nissan engine in his beautiful Mk 1 because of cost and my actual point was it is still going to cost $$$ to push any NA engine to the limit to gain the HP for racing, Duratec or YB.

That stuff does look sweet.

The OE one is plastic standard and quite light - not worth the weight saving per $.
