I am considering putting a datsun crank in my kent motor
I already run the datsun pistons and rods
does anyone know where I can buy a good machined crank?
or where I can take a crank to get the machining done?
preferably near newcastle
any pros or cons with doing this ?
THANKS
MAL

Talk to Paul T on this forum, he should be able to steer you in the right direction,

There is an engine builder here in Adelaide who does this conversion and machines these cranks.
I don't recall his name, but if you head over to the Classic Ford Forums and look through postings or contact a registered user by the name of Red Pepper, he'll be able to give you the engine builder's name, as he is using one of these converted engines in his red Mk1 Escort.
Cheers

Crankshaft Rebuilder here in Melbourne do them regularly Ph 03 98940000
I think they even refer to them as " Forsan" cranks or something similiar
